No Selling Is Involved ~ HA!

You have heard it before in mlm…they say no selling is involved because
most people do not enjoy selling.
I think you know deep inside that to be successful in your business
or in life you do have to sell.

Selling is not a dirty word. We do it everyday.
At work you sell your skills to get the promotion.
To get your spouse you sell your qualities as the right one for them.

In business people skills are critical to your success in selling your
solution ~ your business opportunity.

Do not be afraid of selling or of getting paid for your time.
Remember, that sales is to be of service to others. Serve them what they
want, not what you want, and you will have very happy customers and
business partners.

In business we are selling a solution to a problem…their problem.
You must ask the right set of questions to uncover the problem,to see
if you have a solution to offer them.

Listen carefully to what they are saying… build a relationship with them,
and yes, you are selling you as the person that cares enough to listen.
Listen with the intent of helping them. If what you have will help them,
offer your solution…if not, point them in the right direction.
They will respect you for it, and watch the good that will come your way.

With the right set of questions you are making the sale in the process
of your conversation. If you make them uncomfortable in the conversation,
the outcome will not be good.
If they feel comfortable with you, they will like and trust you.

Let them persuade themselves into your opportunity.

To find the right set of questions use f.o.r.m

F ~ Family questions ~ Kids, family, vacations, time etc.

O ~ Occupation questions ~ What they do, do they like it, etc.

R ~ Recreation questions ~ Hobbies, sports, travel.

M ~ Money questions ~ Retirement, investments, debt, etc.

Always ask the questions with the intent on helping them solve their problem.
Expand on the questions with things such as ‘ tell me more about that ‘
or ‘ how do you feel about that?’

Somewhere in f.o.r.m you will find a problem that you MIGHT have a solution
for, if their pain is high enough, and they want to do something about it.

  1. Hi Alice,

Ann Sieg said it best: “If you’re in network marketing, you’re in sales.”

Actually, like you say, we’re all in sales, regardless of what we do for a living. Selling by building relationships is the most organic, painless way of selling.

Too many times when we think of selling, we think of the guy who calls just as we sit down to dinner and tries to sell us on their long distance service. This person doesn’t know us, yet expect us to buy. This is not the ideal.

    Awesome information. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi Gregory,

I agree, many shy away from the word sales, because they do not want to be thought of as that pushy sales person.

      I appreciate your comments,
