The 3 reasons to host your own blog.
1. The content is yours and cannot be
deleted. With free blogs the content
that you worked so hard on can be
deleted at anytime. If you add to your
blog often it would be worth it to host
your own blog.
2. You can advertise on your hosted blog.
If you have a free blog you are not
suppose to. Many get deleted for that
reason.
3. You will be taken more seriously if you
are running a business. If you have a
free blog they may think you are just
dabbling.
If you are new to blogging, blogger is
very easy to use. I do recommend if
you are in business to use wordpress
You can use the free service and when
you are ready you can host your wordpress
blog later.
