Setting Realistic Expectations For Your Business

Both a positive and a negative for the network marketing profession is the tendency many companies have of showcasing fast starters and great success stories. It’s important that we see those who have “made it” to reinforce that we can do it, too.

The challenge comes when we see those fast starters and start to ask – what is wrong with me?

Always remember that there is a story behind the story. Those ” over night successes” usually built it some where else before, and climbed the same long, slow hill that everyone does on the way up.

Most often, they have heard no more often and experienced greater challenges along the way than those who have not yet made it. Too often, people don’t have the success they want fast enough so they quit.

Set small goals and reward yourself as you journey to the top.

Let the success stories of others encourage you to know that you can do it, too. Work on developing your skills and getting better each and every day.

Be willing to stumble to get better at your craft.

All things are difficult before they are easy. Thomas Fuller

The word no never hurt anyone, you will hear it often, be OK with it.

There is no secret to success…everyone must go through the process to learn how to fly.

Like a mama bird that encourages her babies to fly, the babies are scared, but the mother knows the babies must go through the process to learn risk and responsibility.

Just like the baby birds you must also learn risk and responsibility.

You can build your business as you wish , but spending time finding business partners and developing those partners into leaders is a must.

1. Build your list, and do it everyday. The people on your list you might not ever call, but they may trigger more names that should be on your list. So do not leave anyone off your list.

2. Set the appointment…if that scares you remember the baby birds 🙂 just get an appointment at this time to chat.

3. Present what you have. If you never show your business it can never grow.

Those are the most important 3 things you must do to build your dream.

Now you know how to set REAL expectations for your business, and understand there is nothing wrong with you, you just must be willing to learn to fly before you become the over night success story.
