Is Your Ego Holding You Back From Business Success?

Ego = Closed Ears

Think about what has held you back in  business and life.

The things that have happened in your life tie into your business.

Are you tired of living a lie?

Ready to find who you are and where you fit?

What to be free and be all you are meant to be?

Do you know there is more for you?

Let’s let the ego go…let’s find the real you, take off  the ego jacket.

You have to take the ego jacket off….to have ears to hear.

Everyone has a past they have to break free from….and if
the past is not let go you cannot be free.

We have layers of ego that has to be peeled away…are you ready to peel away?

The ego is there to shield us from pain…or fear of more pain.

Could be from school when you were picked on.

Maybe people laughed at you for giving the wrong answer.

Could be trauma in your life.

Time to take the ego jacket off, serve others without adding anymore pain to their

lives….it is not about you!

Time to promise that you will not hurt anyone on your way to success.

If your only thought is let me get them in to my deal, without any thought of what

you maybe doing to them…you better take a long look at your ego!

All of these are ego related… do you have any of them?

1.  Do you follow directions or do you add more steps to the process?

2.  Are you teachable….maybe you think you know a better way, one that
is not tried and proven.

3.  I don’t know how….and you don’t try to even look for the answers.

4.  The blame game….blaming everyone but you!

5.  Pride…I have to succeed or I am going to look bad.

6.   The competition is too big.

7.   Comparing yourself to others.

8.   So and so is really not that successful…I can do better than that.

9.   Jealousy about what someone else has, how they look or talk.

10. Giving up….using your personality as an excuse, I am so shy that is
why I can’t do it.

11.  Being fake.

12.  Thinking you are better than others.

13.  Being prejudice.

14.  Thinking you are the only one that is going to fail…ego!

15.  I never win, everyone is always against me, never works for me.

Remember, the ego you think protects you, but it really holds you back.

Everyday you hold onto the words I can’t do it, and I don’t know how to
do something, or blaming others, you are making it all about you!

Time to let the ego go and make it about others…forgive, let go and succeed!

Be free and be all you are meant to be,

    1. Hello Marquita,

They are tough questions…and we like to shy away from them, but they must
be answered to break through obstacles!

  1. Hi Alice,

Great article. Well for me at least. I think I will review this list and work on a few of these. I think I have an ego and I know that some things I have learned to let go of, but according to this list, I think I have some still hanging around!! Never thought of some of these as ego, so glad I stopped by!! Some work to do on my part!!

  2. Alice,
Wow, you are really socking it to us. I know it is necessary though. We must let go of our pride and what may be holding us back from success. Having a teachable spirit goes a long way toward achieving success in our life. Also, giving someone a hand up as opposed to putting them down is one asset to going forward.
Awesome thoughts you have given us to chew on. 🙂

    1. Hello Lynn,

Pride does hold so many back.

I love what you said “Having a teachable spirit goes a long way toward achieving success in our life”

      Thanks for sharing

  3. Alice,
well, this is interesting… I always felt this way.. and it happen that when someone of teh so called “upline” or “authority” tell me to do something in a certain way, I normaly feel going the other… not necessary because they tell me so, but because I know my self and and I know going my way I feel better and feel more comfortable and in case I am not as successful as they are, it is fine, because even if I would follow all they direction. NO ONE COULD GUARANTEE I would be any better… but going my way, if nothing else, I felle better at the end no matter what result come out.

You say it correctly, “We all learn differently, think differently” and that is out privilege…

    Thanks so much for sharing.

    1. Sure Nick…it is human nature for us, we do not like to be told what to do.

What is great is we have a choice, and like you mentioned we have to go our way!

Sometimes it is the right choice, and sometimes it is not, and we have know when to let our
ego go… and say we might not have made the right choice 🙂

      I appreciate you comment Nick
