5 Ways To Improve Relationships…

Love and relationships

Love And Appreciation

Living life with people around us is fun. Life is meant to be with others.
All too often the relationships we have, we think they will always be there and don’t put the effort in that is needed to make the relationship grow.

Here is my daily discipline: Make every effort to everyday to plant good into my relationships with others.

Simply means to give more than I receive, love unconditionally  and to add joy to others.

Everyday before the night ends… ask yourself some questions.

1. Have I been thoughtful towards others?
2. Do they feel good now they have spent time with me?
3. Do they feel I have their best interest at heart?

If the answer is yes to the questions, you did your part to make others feel good and help the relationship to grow. Now sleep well 🙂

Here are the everyday 5 actions to improve relationships.

1. Put Other People First

Every one of us learned this from our Mama’s when we were little. The golden rule ~ Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you think like this all the time you can not go wrong.
Other things you can do to make others feel special to you… are to walk slowly through a room full of people, make eye contact, remember names and smile at them.
Simple right?
Always remember… people do not care about how much you know until they know how much you care about them.

2. Let The Emotional Backpack Go

Nothing is as heavy and hurtful to you as carrying around your backpack full of old hurts. If it is important to you to enjoy your time with others, let go of the wrong doings. If it is something that must be put out on the table, then put it out there…talk about it and forgive. If it is something that doesn’t need to be brought up again, opening wounds hurt, then just let it go. You have to let that kind of stuff out of your backpack to lighten the heavy load that only hurts you.

3. Your Time Is Precious Give It  To Those That Matter Most

Plan your day and who is going to get your attention. Many will want it, but they do not deserve it. Time is something you will never get more of or get back. For me… God, Family, Friends then Business in that order. When your life is about to end, what kind of thoughts do you believe will be before you? I believe my thoughts will be about my family and have I provided value in their lives. Practice spending your time wisely with the most important first.

4. Serve With A Smile

Life is rich and full when you are in service to others. If you sit with yourself, and serve no one, how lonely life will be.  Life is meant to be happy and full. Be of service to others and it will come back to you in time.  Lift others up with a smile.

5. Let Your Love And Appreciation Out

Let the people in your life know how special they are and how much you love them now, while they and you are still alive. All too often the words that should have been spoken are spoken when it is too late for the one that should hear them.
Do not criticize people and think they need your wisdom.  Instead with every person you love and interact with, find what they are good at and encourage them, lift them to their greatness in what they are gifted with.  Everyone wants to be loved and appreciated for who they are. Love them where they are, and inspire them to be all they can be.

Good relationships take time and effort and are worth every ounce of your energy.
